MrBirdman Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 As much as I love to hate him, I’m sad to see him go. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33173652/tom-brady-retiring-22-seasons-seven-super-bowl-wins-new-england-patriots-tampa-bay-buccaneers-sources-say Would love to know everyone’s most memorable Brady moment (good or bad). My personal favorite is pretty easy: 3
bishop532 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Losing to the Giants in 2008 was a special moment for me. I don’t really like the giants normally, but that day I loved them like brothers. 3
Ford2112 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Poor Brady. Has to retire with his 200+ mil and his hot model wife who is worth twice as much. 1 3
riderpride Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 There's a few moments, but the hands of stone in the superbowl was hilarious. I don't recall him yelling at receivers as much after that. 4

Popular Post Hammer Smokin' Posted January 29, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 29, 2022 easy to hate on him when he played in New England, but impossible not to like once he went to TB. Hockey = Gretzky Basketball = Jordan Football = Brady single names that shine brightest. 7
Kitchen Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 He, in my mind, will always be that guy who lost the Super Bowl to a backup quarterback. 3
Erm310mce Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 It’s been a great run for 20 years as a Pats fan with Tom. So many great memories… hard to pick one, but I’ll go with the 28-3 comeback against Atlanta. How many times do people count him out and he comes back. So many praying for his failure, so many times he comes out on the right side. The best of all time by far. 3 1

He never announced it, but it came from ‘sources’. If he is playing another year, I’ll make my way down to Tampa next season to see him. Try to coordinate it when the Red Sox are playing at the Rays. He's retiring. He wanted to do it on his own terms. Somebody in his entourage got mouthy and ruined it for him. We'll get a formal announcement from him Monday or Tuesday, after todays games. He'll get the spotlight for the next couple weeks, then the super bowl will distract everyone. 18 Wins, 1 GIANT Lose will always be my favorite memory of Brady. I still have a couple of those shirts, still in the original plastic. Ill bust them out when I wear out the two I have in rotation right now. 🤣 3
BrightonCorgi Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 The '01 season is the most memorable. It's where it all started and it was at difficult time in my life where our Superbowl run really shined some positive light that was dearly needed. They're home while in New England was about 5 miles from my house. I am not convinced this is a 100% retirement. I bet he wants to see if Tampa can fill the holes needed to win the Superbowl before deciding. Several moving parts as it takes Offense and Defense to win. 4

BrightonCorgi Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Great time to move on, but I can see him doing a one year deal in a season or two. Would make his story even more incredible; mounting a Superbowl charge two year away from the game at his age. 1

joeypots Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 I'm glad he's done. 7 championships. He gas nothing to apologize for and he's not sticking around until he looks foolish or gets badly hurt. And he proved something by winning in Tampa. So far Belichick needs Brady to win a championship. Brady got it done without Belichick. That says a lot to me. 1

As someone born in Nevada, I would love nothing more than to see He and McDaniels bring a trophy to Vegas in a couple years. I just don't see it happening though.

I beg to differ. I despised him even more once he was in the NFC, because now he could (and did!) ruin the Packers season even without us making the Super Bowl. Undeniable championship legacy, and an unprecedented knack for pulling his teams far beyond the sum of their skills and abilities. Still can't stand the guy.
Chas.Alpha Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Love him or hate him, GOAT. I was always one of the "yeah, but Belichick and the front office..." Nope. Brady went to Tampa. Tampa won the bowl. G O A T. 😐 3
