I don't think there's been an update since the last one about the box prototypes earlier in January. I understand the presses are rolling, and I was told this week that I am going to need to block out some time to sign all the signed copies, so things seem to be progressing.

Michael's Custom Framing shop (https://www.michaelscustomframing.com) runs coupons constantly and has 70% off all custom frames through Monday, for anyone in the US who is interested. I got the poster framed for like $200! Absolutely love it.

I think an update will go out in the next week or so. All the proofs etc have been received and approved and the presses are rolling.

Don't think we'll have a shipping date yet but it is getting closer. Thanks for your patience! 🙏🏻

Well, after almost a year-and-a-half, backers of this wonderful project received welcoming news today (via e-mail) that 'El Habano Moderno' will commence shipping next week, from May 18th onwards.

I wanted to congratulate @ATGroom publicly for the patience and determination he has demonstrated to realise this project to its current fruition. It's all very exciting and I'm am well-pleased that Helios House, the publishers, will include an addendum in the form of a small booklet outlining new 2022 and 2023 releases that have been announced in the meantime.

Just to clarify, they are scheduled to leave the factory in China by ship on the 18th. Australian copies are coming direct to me, the others are going to a distribution warehouse in the US and then will be sent out to customers from there. I guess it depends on how you define "commence shipping," but I would expect at least another 5 weeks or so before people start receiving them.

 

In any event, they came out great. I'm really pleased with them. The Collector's Edition especially with the linen covers and the gilt edging is gorgeous.

Thanks for your support everybody who stuck with us. I think you'll be very pleased with them.

I learnt a huge amount through this process - can guarantee the second edition will run a lot smoother.🤪

I read recent El Habano Moderno update yesterday and the Collector's Edition looked so beautiful as dress box Cuban cigars (gold coating on pages made it even more special IMHO, since it's rare to see books with special coating these days) 👍

Like CCW, I really like your work so much and it's one of the finest cigar books I've ever seen in my life indeed. Can't wait to see El Habano Moderno 2nd Edition too 🙂
