Anyone been to Andorra recently? I will likely spend a Saturday there in a month or so and welcome cigar/spirits shop recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the suggestions!

Looks like it might be a good ski destination.

Enjoy.

This, assuming you’ll be in Andorra la Vella. Was last there Sep. 2019 and The Cigar Shop on Meritxell was a couple blocks from my hotel. There was also another, smaller location more central to the shopping district. And a LCDH on the Plaza Coprinceps. Smaller than TCS, but still decent and prices were considered among the best outside Cuba. However that was 2 1/2 years ago and both prices and selection are likely to have changed some.

Thanks for the details. I'm thinking of modifying my trip a little bit and spending the night in la Vella so should have plenty of time to shop around.

Ok. Andorra is now officially empty of Cuban cigars. If you've not already been and shopped, fuggedaboudit.

Thanks for chiming in. Would you care to elaborate on your comment?

Our @Hookmaker had just finished wiping the place clean. Hopefully he can see this and elaborate.

But basically he said there's nothing left. No regular prod no RE. What was once well stocked is bare shelves.

I've not going there myself recently, but have some feedback of this month buyers. It's clearly not the best moment to go there. About RE, the only one still avaiable is the lastest Qdo Ambassadeur ( half-corona in 50 cab), but all the previous ones as ERDM Petit Cayo, Bolivar Shorts, JL Malecon, are now sold-out ( but can be bought at high price in Swiss for example). A few boxes of RyJ serie d'Oro were still on stock.

Seeing a picture of the TCS in Andorra-la-vella, taken 15 days ago approx., it's quite depressing! But there will some new arrival, hard to know when...

No worries, I'm going in the area for business so low stakes, might as well try my luck. Liquor shopping should be fun at least :)

Sure it is! Gotta try the one at Pas de la Casa, if you can go there too. More choice in rhums than Cava Benito.

Spent the night in Andorra la Vella yesterday, cute place, love the mountains and old stone buildings on the slopes.

Limited cigars selection, got two decent boxes and some singles for the trip.

Cava Benito is worth the visit, bought a 1980 vintage Armagnac from a small maker (Léberon), first time ever I stumble upon that vintage, wonder if it was a difficult growing season or something (hopefully Ken can comment). Looking forward to trying it :)
