Popular Post sho671 Posted January 9, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 9, 2022 The name and band of this cigar make me think "fancy," and at $18-20 for a robusto it is something I expect. First off the construction is second to none. Great draw, very thin and nearly straight burn line with a solid ash. Initial light brought on a slight bitterness that I tend to get with Connecticut wrapped cigars, which dissipated in the first third. Then came bready, floral and vegetal notes that lasted the entire cigar. It was very mellow with a very mild pepper note on the tongue that wasn't present on the retrohale. It paired well with my sugar twist donut and earl grey tea. A very good cigar but at its price point, not something I would smoke regularly. 3/5 5
BDSpiritual1 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 I always wondered why these cigars commanded the price they did! Thanks for this review!

The tobacco is allegedly "aged," which might have to do with the price too. I think the filler is aged 3-4 years. I grabbed a brand sampler with a 20% discount online which helped justify trying them. They're good but I don't think I'm going to be buying boxes of them.
