Popular Post saltbox Posted December 30, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2021 Rain cleared up and my day is wide open, so planning on jamming as much cigar smoking as I can in today! Picked up a 21 box recently based on the glowing reviews, so wanted to revisit an older box I've been smoking out of to compare for later. First third: opens with cream, tobacco, and that delightful orange liqueur note these seem to have. As the cigar opens up, some chocolate and coffee cream appear on the finish as well. Middle third: rich tobacco, cocoa, cream, and orange liqueur continue to dominate, though some cedar starts to creep into the profile. Last third: the cedar and tannins continue to creep up in strength. Definitely room to continue aging and improving these. Overall: I've been slow to smoke these Juan Lopez as they definitely seem to need more age to really open up. The first third of these cigars consistently smokes well but the back half needs some time to open up more. 88/100 9
Juliano88 Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 One of my go to cigars. I feel 3 years is when this blend shines.
