Popular Post El Presidente Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 29, 2021 Locally at least people are cancelling plans left right and center due to a covid spike. I am holding a table of 10 for the below. Unless calamity strikes, Di and I are there with bells on. New Years Eve Cigar? Not a bad idea to dry box now I am going to keep it simple this year and celebrate with a Partagas Serie P Number 2. Actually two of them. One an original release from 2005 and another being a superb 2021 example that was our Number 1 2021 Cigar of the year. It should be a nice comparison. What are you planning for New years? What are you smoking? 15
Chibearsv Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 That’s a great deal for that menu. I laughed out loud at the dancing disclaimer 🤣 2
DaBoot Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 That party lineup looks great 👍🏻 already pulled out the Connie 2 from the Christmas sampler… don’t know if I want to like it, cause if I do, I must buy a box😁
mbrody Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 I’ll be sitting out in the cold around a campfire, so maybe a CPE or a current Mag 50 (stunning). 1
Popular Post Islandboy Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 29, 2021 Some of the locals here just love to blow things up on New Years, so my neighborhood will turn into a war zone of illegal fireworks as usual, and I’ll be bathing in aroma de gunpowder, making sure my house doesn’t catch on fire. I may as well smoke a Gurkha. But...on the 30th, when I turn 60 and officially qualify for the senior discount at the local hardware store, I’m gonna set fire to a Behike - not because I really expect it to be the best tasting cigar I have - but because that’s what Behike’s are for, right? 14 5
Hammer Smokin' Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 that's a great menu at a great price! we will be mainly sheltering in place here in Canada. have a great time Prez! 3
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 29, 2021 I think a 2010 Sir Winston sounds like the right way to ring in the new year! 7
TBird55 Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 The way 21 has gone, maybe a Tampa Nugget Sublime would be appropriate. 3
Popular Post GaryK 54 Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 29, 2021 Dinner with friends at… Il Ristorante - Niko Romito in the Bulgari Hotel Shanghai. Great menu planned with a nice line-up of Italian wines. As a special treat, one of our guests has sourced a bottle of 2015 Screaming Eagle Cab, Napa Valley for the steak course. This is a bucket list wine that I am anxious to taste. Cognac and cigars after dinner - Sir Winston 2016 from Rob and the Czar team (my one and only source of CC). 8

I know next to nothing about wine, but one of our clients is a highly regarded restauranteur here and he was just telling me that a table of four bought the one bottle of Screaming Eagle he had in his cellar the other night...then he told me for how much. I was speechless. That is a unicorn. Enjoy it brother!
GaryK 54 Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 (edited) It’s crazy expensive. Probably less than 1000 cases produced each year. The 2015 is a great vintage but a little young yet. However, our guest who brings it insists on drinking it this NYE. I will absolutely enjoy, even if still a little tightly structured. Best wishes to you and Happy Birthday. I passed 60 a few years ago… it’s only a number! Edited December 29, 2021 by GaryK 54 Corrected the number of cases produced each year. 1
Popular Post coug28 Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 29, 2021 If things go according to plan - which may not happen as we won’t be hosting the NYE festivities….but I’m setting aside an 09 Trini Robusto T and an 08 Sir Winnie on the off chance I can sneak away with the host. 5
Popular Post Connoisseur Kim Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 29, 2021 Mine will be CCE from @Habana Mike, but cigar lounges in Korea close earlier once again until January due to temporarily restrictions 😢. Hope that I can do the Kimfessions Series in the next year ASAP. 5
PuroDiario Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 I tested positive with my youngest son on the 25th after a long trip back home to Spain. So if we are clear on the 31st, which I am optimist we will, I will smoke the house down starting with a Lusitania and coming for the Sir Winni and Espléndidos right after. On the brighter side of things, half the family has it and no one including the elders are struggling too much. 4
Popular Post Puros Y Vino Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 29, 2021 Another stay at home NYE for us. We'll probably order something in. Most likely Portuguese chicken, bacalao and some sides. If I have a bottle of Sparkling Shiraz left, it will be cracked open. As for a cigar, weather permitting on New Years Day, I'll fire up a 2011 BHK56. 7
Popular Post BrightonCorgi Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 29, 2021 NYE is ripe for a Cohiba Lancero. I question whether I will be able to stay up late enough for midnight. Set the alarm for 11:55 PM and back in bed at 12:05 AM. 7
Popular Post El Hoze Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 29, 2021 We have one other couple coming over, he happens to be the one guy I live around that loves and appreciates good cigars. They are also amazing cooks. Stong likelihood I break out an older Sir Winston to start things off. Menu (from my side) will include a bunch of terrines to start and chateaubriand as the main as I did rib roast for Christmas day. Have a couple magnums of red that may get popped as well as some champagne for the starters. I am just as big on New Years day breakfast as the NY Eve meal. I typically go over the top with caviar, bagels and salmon. Nothing like inhaling 6-8 oz of good caviar to start the year off right. 8
Juliano88 Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 21 Punch Punch sounds like a nice way to end the year! 4
Popular Post joeypots Posted December 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 29, 2021 My first date with my wife of 30 years was on NYE for lunch. We often celebrate that anniversary by getting a lobster for dinner. This year there are great fireworks at dusk in Provincetown at the end Of Cape Cod followed by dinner with friends at a nice restaurant. I have a '01 Esplendido, my last from the box, that I'll burn sometime over the long week end. We're just a boring old couple who live a quiet life. For us, things couldn't be better. Happy New Year! 10
Ford2112 Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 I am going to smoke something from this year's Christmas sampler. Most likely a psp2 because I have a number of them resting in the humidor. But I keep looking at that Monte 1. 3
bassistheplace Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 NYE will be watching college football playoff games and enjoying a Lusi 3

Greenhorn2 Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Hopefully I will get New Years Day off work and will be able to partake with a decent cigar. Otherwise it will probably be a party short or reyes.
