Popular Post saltbox Posted December 20, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 20, 2021 I picked up a couple boxes of these when the discontinuation was announced, earlier on in my CC journey, both because of the discontinuation and because of some discussion I'd seen about them retaining some aspects of the Bolivar marca that have been lost over the years. I left them alone for a lot longer than I typically rest cigars given that they were in tubos. These have about 9 months of rest on them at this point. First half: opens with a dark rich earth and coffee grounds. The base of the flavor profile is more of a wood and spice rather than the creaminess I get from other Bolivar vitolas. Interesting. Second half: honestly, not much change, but with a vitola this short and thin, I don't think you can expect much. Overall: not bad, the earthy woodiness is an interesting change of pace. I'll have to smoke more before I can form an opinion about the vitola, but it was nice to see the Bolivar profile through a different lens with this cigar. 88/100 9
bishop532 Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 I really liked the no 3 for what it was; its a shame they got rid of it. It’s a great vitola IMO. Nice review. 2
