In Cuba, there is a lack of resources to print the ration books for next year, the official newspaper El Artemiseño reported this Thursday.

There are "delays in the importation of raw materials, the printing, preparation and distribution of ration books for 2022," the medium published on its Telegram channel.

In the absence of blank cards, state warehouses will continue to use the documents corresponding to 2021 and will make annotations of the food they will sell next January "using the lines available in the January and February sheets."

According to El Artemiseño, "the products purchased in 2021 will be crossed out before making the entries for 2022".

The instructions published by the newspaper of the Communist Party in the province of Artemisa, indicate that "the number 22 will be reflected in the annotations, to signify the year to which they correspond, then the product, the quantity to be dispatched and the date of purchase" .

Authorities hope to deliver the new notebooks to consumers in the first weeks of next year. When this happens, "the annotations of the sales made will be updated in these, a process that should not exceed January 30, 2022".

Seems like every time I went, I felt the need to bring more and more.  Now it is next to impossible for us the states to go.  Wish I could help, even if it was just a drop in the bucket.
