Cohiba Serie M Toro 2021 (XNYRW2)

I still smoke a good amount of NCs, but I typically stay away from the brands like Cohiba that do seem to ride on the coattails of the corresponding Cuban brands. This discussion though, planted a seed of curiosity about the newer blends like the Serie M though, and I ended up grabbing a fiver to try it out.

It's not the $100 Cohiba Spectre, but if you're interested in trying one out as a result of that past discussion, I'm happy to send some out to fellow members to sample and try out, just message me! You're not going to confuse it with a CC, but if you can appreciate it through the lens of NCs (more spice, less cream), it's worth a shot.

First third: spicy and peppery cedar and coffee, with a touch of chocolate. I get a creamy oak flavor I typically associate with Dominican tobacco. A nice backdrop of baking spices.

Middle third: cedar, cream, oak, baking spices. There's a spicy sweetness that I typically associate with the Cameroon wrappers on fresh Fuente Hemingways.

Last third: more of the same.

Overall: I've only had a couple experiences with NC Cohibas, but I've basically pitched all of them before actually finishing them. This was definitely the best experience I've had with a NC Cohiba, and for a NC, to my palate and preferences, this was not bad but not the preferred flavor profile I go for. 86/100
