... oh, I did want to say something before I wrapped that last one.

@mprach024 I am not saying Covid does not kill people. AND I am really sorry to hear about your losses and the sick in your family.

Completely. Anyone suggesting otherwise is either unaware of the overwhelming data to support it, or is intentionally choosing to ignore it. Either way I just filter the nonsense out like we used to d

Right.  And the vaccines give you AIDS! Ahhhhh science is so stupid, just pray the virus away.  Vaccines don’t work, Polio was a myth, bunch of pansies whining about their legs is all.  I get mumps 3

Personally, I'm quite happy to be living in Australia where we have had an extremely low number of deaths from Covid. Sure, it has been quite painful and disruptive to be in lockdowns, but it is still

shall we leave aside the utter absurdity of using a fictional movie about the mafia to attempt to illustrate your point - which to be honest, i really am still struggling with - are we to take it that your arrogance runs to the assumption you take care of us? please roll out the examples? i don't honestly expect you to do that because this is just more of the divert, digress etc. although i am certain that nations such as the united kingdom, new zealand, canada, ourselves and many more were grateful for your eventual involvement in the wars. granted you took a few years to join in for both of them but better late than never.

but we await your explanation of australian petulance because i do not see it here. i know, no chance it is coming.

if i may address another point of yours, "Yeh thing is they didn't develop the vaccines. Where the "white guys who speak english and didn't get to run things" are confused is just because America the country/system is better". not trying to highlight the absurd arrogance with which you continue to post. i would like to ask a serious question. and i mean this - have you ever travelled outside american borders? no problem of course if you have not. it is just that my experience is very much that your statements are very much the attitude of many americans who have not, but very rarely found in those who have. travelling to other countries does seem to provide a more rounded perspective.

anyway, there is a QB debate on the washington football forum and while there are some crazy views being offered there, they are still way saner than some of the stuff here. and much more fun, so if you'll excuse me, i'll check back in later.

It isn't meant to be that serious (and please leave the U.K. out being they are the original Godfather). Why do you get so riled up when any American dares to poke back? It is your own arrogance/ego being wounded when confronted with reality. You and I have little to do with the accomplishments of our respective countries. The entire "western" world lives like a 3rd generation trust fund kid.

Travel wise have been to Can, Mex, Jamaica.

and yet another post avoiding what was put to you. same old playbook.

"when any American dares to poke back?"

yet another re-writing of history to suit yourself. your first two posts in this thread were a combination of ridiculous unfounded claims and insults (i could not be bothered checking more but i'd wager they were not on their pat). that has nothing at all to do with poking back. it is you painting yourself in a false light.

as for my reaction when confronted with reality, we'll never know, if we base it on your posts. i've seen nothing remotely resembling reality from you, so far.

now if you'll excuse me, i'm off to chat about this week's game. knock yourself out with reality.

I am just curious why you haven’t taken Foulhook up on his suckers bet instead of slinging mud at Ken?

I have gone through a battle with COVID and I’m pretty sure I’m still alive, I hope so anyway.  IMHO the science of the shots is unsettled, especially as it pertains to those lucky enough to retain sufficient antibodies after infection.

The debate somehow shifted from the effectiveness of the shots to fight the disease and has now become about the ability of the shots to guide us toward the quickest path to normalcy.

If the presence of antibodies is the measure of safety I am as safe as anyone—IMHO.

I am also an American for which I am proud and very thankful.  Doesn’t make me better than anyone else, that being said I often find myself in a silent chuckle when others criticize her for all the problems of the world.

Please judge your own politicians, I’m quite sure they are all massive wankers.

This was fun to go back and read 3 years later. So you guys still getting boosters? Still believe the vaccines were safe and effective? Your Covid camps were a good idea? Still “believe the science”?

I had the two boosters back in 2022. That said, the amount of rum I drink might be an argument of why I never caught COVID… 🤔

Probably more safe and effective 🤙...I’m right there with ya. Although tonight I just cracked an old fitz bib instead of rum.

Bugger it. They haven't killed me so far and I feel better having been boostered during my OS travels. Given the other crap I put into my body, I have put vaccine down at a low personal concern.

We have actually had quite a few review threads on the subject.

Glad you’re doing well…

Your reasons were the same as mine when I took the initial two doses. I’m not having anymore kids and the stuff I put in my body already probably outweighs the risk. That said, I haven’t had any boosters since. I had Covid a couple months back for the third time and it was like allergies for a few days with exception of a fever. Still smoked a cigar every night while I had it lit. It’s now like all the other coronaviruses that go around every year..

I still shake my head at some of the stuff that happened though…I think Joe Rogan said it well in his latest standup “we lost a lot of people during Covid and most of them are still alive “ that and “before Covid I would have told you vaccines were the greatest invention ever created...after Covid…I don’t think we went to the moon!” 🤣🤣

I think like most things, you live and learn. Intelligent people's opinions flow subject to the factual information borne under the hard light of day. Trying to find that information is the hard part. I have mates who will never take a vaccine. I have one who literally believes he is being stalked by Bill Gates. I have others who believe we should  approach the next epidemic the same way. Of course opinions range all in between. I love them all.

Never took any of that garbage, but your choice. I worked through the whole thing and never missed a beat!

I was always taught if anyone forces you to do something always run the other way. Fear is the greatest method of control.😃

After my 3rd shot I've got a bucket on my head and drone "all hail Plankton" while awaiting my orders.
