Last time I saw "Mikey" was in Havana, I wasn't aware he had left the country, but it isn't a surprise. I'm glad to hear that his talents are being utilized better than they had been. He hadn't been working for HSA for years by the time I met him, but he was still very active in the Cigar community down there. I wish him all the best in his new endeavor. The Cuban "brain drain" continues...........

I was talking to Maique briefly in October. He seems very happy with his new position.

It's sad that he had to leave his country to get a job in an area that he loves, but so many people I know (or knew) in Cuba have left or are leaving asap. Many nights over the last two weeks in Havana, I was at an "American wake", a term that used to be used in Ireland for what's happening.
