I don't know the history but currently RGPC and Perlas are some of the more consistent CCs in terms of construction and blend. RGPE not so much.

I have gone through plenty of boxes of Rafael G petit coronas, and construction and consistency has been as good as or better than the more well known marques.

I’m interested to hear opinions on Quintero and JLP.

I like smoking the Quintero Tubulares when I am driving--they are convenient to carry around, don't require a lot of attention and I don't have to worry about damaging them if I put a couple in the glove box.

The Quintero Favoritos have been less consistent for me, but when they are on they are good.

JLPs are smokeable but I don't find myself reaching for one very often--the best ones seem to be some well aged Petite Cetros (now discontinued so any you find will be aged) or Petite Cazadores.

I find the short filler cigars more or less the same. Simple tobacco flavours without much of the other flavours from CCs in general.

I don't smoke them much but have smoked 2-3 of each vitola, except I haven't smoked every single JLP (I think I have smoked all the other ones in regular production).

In terms of short filler smokes the machine made cigarillos are a better value to me. I have a fair number of Monte Puritos and looking to get some Cohiba clubs again.

Once found a JLP in the bottom of my humidor which I have forgotten, at least been sitting there for 7 years. Was pleasantly surprised how smooth and mellow it had became.
