Jets are going to get blown out, again.  That's probably the easiest Stone Cold Lock of the Century, of the week for me this week.

Trap games this week:

• Lions vs. Eagles
• Rams vs. Texans.
• Chiefs vs. Giants.

Smokey pick is Lions over Eagles.

Lock picks are pretty reasonably to pick straight up in weeks with multiple games @ 10pt differentials, but much tougher against the spread. Bengals/Bills/Rams/Chiefs are all locks straight up.

I'll go the harder route here & pick 2 against the spread:

DAL -2.5 vs MINN, TEN +1.5 vs IND

Smokey pick is PIT moneyline vs. CLE

After opening 3-0, my Panthers have lost 4 straight & officially suck.

i've actually picked lions over iggles. 

my lock is that the washington FT will find a new way to amaze the footballing world by blowing a touchdown or losing the game or lord knows what. but in the throes of everlasting optimism, i'm picking them as a smoky. 

as for how are we doing? we are so bad, we managed to get another team's coach sacked (sorry jon, but if you have anything to do with bruce allen, no sympathy). our absolute guaranteed elite defence is pretty much stone motherless last. the owner has been fined $10 million and all the fans think that is nowhere near enough. congress is investigating the team. our trainers are in an offshore black site for drug dealing and lord knows what. we decided to honour one of our greatest players and gave everyone three days notice, except the family whom we unfortunately forgot to tell. 

i re-watched 'The Replacements' the other night because i realised it is the only way to see a washington football team beat anyone (and beating dallas is always a joy, even if fictional).

I honestly wish the Panthers hadn't started 3-0. Gave me false hope that they were going to be decent this year. They are not. Last week was painful. I'm beginning to wonder if Brady is truly an offensive wunderkin or maybe just the beneficiary of an unbelievably talented group of offensive players at LSU. At any rate I'm in favor of NOT adding anymore Baylor or Temple players to the roster. Maybe we should look for some LSU players instead.

On the other hand, my weekly pick'em's started out bad then stabilized at mediocre. I'm going for consistency.

I like a couple of home underdogs this week. Chicago over SF and Detroit over Philly. If my mediocrity holds form I'll get one of them right.

Adams is out for GB under COVID restrictions. Always a very excited fan base when the Cowgirls come to town!
