Went to the art museum yesterday, happened to have a Faberge Cigar Box!

Beautiful work. The description mentions it's large, roughly how large is it?

@williamthewolf It didn't seem overly large to me but maybe for the time or for Faberge. It was about 8 in long by 5.5 in wide

Cigar case of the tsars. I figured by today's standards it would be on the smaller size. I wonder which cigars were stored in there in its time of use. Very cool post thanks for sharing more photos!

Found a few more perusing Christies. Got a few days left on them if you want to take them home, bidding starts at 2600 CHF, notice the nice H Upmann, engraved into the box. Also from the early 1900's and Russia.

The other one! From the late 1800's and can be possibly be yours for the low price of 1000 CHF, who needs a box of Cohiba Lanceros? Notice the Cyrillic engravings on the box, also from Russia
