Popular Post djrey Posted October 13, 2021 Popular Post Posted October 13, 2021 Currently have a love hate with the D4. Love the cigar but am smoking them too fast and am refusing to pay current prices. Time to slow down and head over to the shorts. Anyway, lets get this one lit up. Gorgeous construction as every stick has been from this box. Nice weight to it but a near perfect draw with the right resistance for me. A perfect light and we are off into a core of wood notes, paprika spices and some compost like earth note. Body is a solid medium. Second third keeps on throwing flavors. Still a tannic wood core with the addition of black pepper. Not too far off from a Nicaraguan but with fare more fineness and class. Smoke is thick and chewy. Final third and the tannic nature of the cigar really picks up. To me this is great. One complaint I can have about most CC (coming from years of smoking NC) is that they are too light in body. Not this guy. This shows me we have some legs for aging. Finishing filled with spices and a little char I see nothing but a positive future for these. Excellent. 93-94 pts. 10
prshah25 Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Interesting you like tannic flavors. Usually they are bitter and not enjoyable for me.
