Your favourite Vegas Show experience?

Di and I have never experienced a Vegas Show experience and I am toying putting it on the bucket list. I have some spare room 

What has been your favourite Vegas show experience?  I know Ken has always loved spending nights at Cheetahs but I am thinking about a real ridgy didge Las Vegas gala show. 

Worthwhile? What has been your favourite Vegas show?

Absinthe is a great time!  At Caesars Palace.

The Cirque shows tend to be next level. For the most part, when my wife and I go we tend to catch 4 or 5 shows because the production qualities in Vegas are worth it.

I'll second Absinthe. Opium is a spin-off thats good too; I spent more time laughing at the crowd's reactions that the show itself though.

Twenty something year old girls dressed in their slutty best leaning into the garbage cans to puke outside the club while they beg for whatever guy they're hoping for to wait for them.  Caesars used to have a semi lewd blackjack table outside their nightclub where I'd set up shop for that show.  Love it.

Not a big show guy but did enjoy the Rock and Roll burlesque show at the Flamingo.  
 

Also enjoyed Elton John at Cesars when he was filling in for Celine Dion.

Elton would have been great. Def gonna go to more shows now once things get going, Vegas being the ninth island and all.

Got married in Vegas and saw Stones afterwards at I believe MGM Grand. Great show. Bad marriage! Vegas officially off my places to go list!

I’ve seen them all and would put Love at the top. I’ve seen it now three times and would go again if I ever travel again 😩. Second choice would be O.

Cirque de Soleil "Mystere" - first show in LV - it was new and different @ Treasure Islans

Most disappointing was the Rolling Stones..

My brother and I literally walked out of this show; which sucked cause it was so much money. But the only thing worse than feeling like we wasted money, would have been staying for the whole show in misery. I've seen lots of cirque du soleil shows and this was by far and away the worst. That said, O is pretty good and worth the $.

That's interesting, because my whole family had the opposite reaction. We thought this show was amazing.

We went in 2010, and sure the stage/theatre/music is good. But we were expecting actual Cirque du Soleil skill, we were expecting more than people jumping up and down on trampolines and we finally walked out when there was a solo act with a guy slapping his pants to the beat. If you aren't going in with expectations of actual circus like acts/skill than I'm sure you would have a better chance of enjoying it. I've been to five other shows and some are better than others, but this is easily remembered as the worst show I've been to of theres (by a large margin)

Sure, as a huge fan of the Beatles, I appreciated the choreography of the show to the songs. I thought the way they used the songs was clever. I can appreciate how doing that can sacrifice the acrobatic elements to a show like this, however.

In the Pre Covid world I used to go at least once a year. My favorite show remains gaming at a table at a nice Casino of the day - say a current Wynn - on a Friday or Saturday night and play the “Hooker or from LA” game. Place Your bets, then send a buddy to start a conversation to find out. Literally never gets old.

I’ve been to Vegas too many times and almost always see a show with my wife.  
cirque du soleil is everywhere and it’s ok but some are definitely better than others. Our favorites were Mystere and O. We did not think highly of Ka or the Beatles one called “Love.”  There is a similar type of show at the Wynn and it’s decent too. 
 

ive never seen absinthe and I don’t really care to. Penn and Teller are very entertaining- I’ve seen them twice and would go again. Rita Rudner used to have a regular stand up gig and she was good. Jerry Seinfeld was good (not great). Rod Stewart concert rocked (it was LOUD and he’s awesome).  Never made it to Siegfried and Roy.

In terms of Vegas show experience... its very hard to beat the experience at either Saphire or the Spearmint Rhino at 3am on a Monday night.

This is about half off-topic, but back in the early 80's one of the 6 nighters we played was at Caesars Palace on what they called "Cleopatra's Barge" which was a floating platform in an indoor swimming pool, as memory serves. It gently swayed back and forth, but by Friday night it made me seasick. 🤢
