Popular Post ChangBang Posted October 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted October 4, 2021 Last entry into the review week - smoked a Monte 4 that I've put into my overflow 70% humidity tupperdor. In general these have been disappointing so my overflow tupperdor is also my disappointment tupperdor haha. Right now I have these, RGPC, and HUHC in it. Curious to see how they smoke wetter than normal so give it a cut(draw is fine) and light. I think last week or something there were discussions on what cigars may smoke better wet vs dry? Gave me the idea to try this straight from 70% without dry boxing. 1 - Get that darker richer tobacco flavor in the beginning that is uncharacteristically strong flavor for this cigar. That flavor starts to come in as a black coffee with just a hint of cream. Get random whiffs of a floral that I've never gotten with these so might just be my imagination? 2 and 3 - No real change in the rest of the cigar - get that black coffee with small hints of cream. Occasionally specks of cocoa power comes into play but are short lived. Ends on that starting dark rich tobacco note. Overall - 5/10 - Average cigar but still probably one of the better Monte 4's I've had from this box. Usually I find them really bland, and could be the cigar, but the increased humidity I think worked out really well in my opinion. Cigar never got soggy so that wasn't an issue and the draw remained fine throughout. Strength of flavor was much stronger right off the bat than the ones in my normal storage and dry boxed 4's. I'll try another soonish but if it's good, think I'm going to put all my monte's in this tupperware! 4 2
