sho671 Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 I've heard mostly negative things about the Monte Open series and have never bought them but did receive a couple as gifts and figured I'd smoke them for this week's review. The first one up is the Open Eagle. I got this one earlier this year in a bomb from a fellow BOTL, who seemingly enjoys the Open Eagle. Construction was great, it drew and burned well, and held a fairly long ash. Aside from the it didn't have much going for it. It was the most mild cigar I think I've ever smoked and didn't really pick up on any specific flavors. I was hoping something would change somewhere in the ~6 inches of the cigar, but it was just bland and boring throughout. I'm glad I was able to try it but don't think I'll ever buy one for myself. 0-1/5 1
