Fox Sterlingworth Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 I love whiskey as much as I love cigars but I do not like pairing them. It’s usually palate overload or one overpowers the other. A cold Coke is usually my pairing go to. 1
djrey Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 HUHC and an espresso is pretty fantastic. Otherwise, any black coffee/espresso or a club soda. I personally cannot get into any alcohol paired with a cigar. wine, beer, rum they all seem to overpower the other and just wind up meh for my tastes. 2

ElReyDel757 Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 When I drink beer, it’s either a very hoppy IPA or a very dark stout. I have found that beer overpowers the cigar taste. In order to really enjoy the cigar, I have to pair with water, coffee, tea or a soda. Perhaps I should try a wine or liquor pairing? 😜 I also can rarely smoke in the morning, and definitely can’t smoke on an empty stomach in the morning. 1
Bigpink Posted October 4, 2021 Author Posted October 4, 2021 I read a tip from someone on here to try root beer, which has been really great every time I’ve paired it. I’ve also had success with ginger beer and cream soda.
Meklown Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 not specific to the brand, but these somehow work great 1
jhalischuk Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 HUHC and espresso is my favourite. Anything except for beer though. 1
jonnyfromiranny Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 Monte 2 and iced coffee (with cream). I rarely do coffee with cigars and I usually prefer my coffee hot and black **insert inappropriate joke here**, but this is a scratch I sometimes have to itch. 1
Juliano88 Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 For more full bodied/spicy cigars ( My father, Tatuaje, Partagas etc.) I like a peaty scotch such as Ardbeg ten or Lagavulin 16 to stand up to the profile. Cigars with a stone fruit profile ( RASS,Pledge prequel,RYJ Churchills) I like to pair with a sherry finished scotch such as Glenmorangie 18. And for my mild/creamy cigars ( PL MC, HDM EP 2, Illusione and Warped) I stick with coffee/espresso. 2
