RDB Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Sorry about that. Living well is the best revenge. 1
Monterey Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Priorities. Are my cigars safe? Is Di's computer she emails from still there? If not, perhaps she is the mastermind. Looking for a few days of vacation! Seriously, glad you got good video of him.
jay8354 Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Sorry to hear. Glad that they did not take much or cause more damage. Still a hassle to get all the paperwork together
Edicion Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 We're starting to see the effects of the global cuban cigar shortage. The poor guy was just trying to get his fix, out of pure desperation he went to the only place he knew that has a decent amount of PSP stock left.
joeypots Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Is that Smithy in the photo? Ok, that was a joke in case anyone missed it. Sorry for the burglary. Getting robbed sucks and even if little was lost it's a big PITA.
Popular Post GVan Posted September 19, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 19, 2021 Very sorry that happened. Crooks in general are not the brightest lot. My favorite personal crook story - we had a break-in, someone went into the garage and stole some change from the cars, a radio out of one of the cars - fixing the damage to the car was a bummer. Took some CD's out of the car (yes, this was a while ago) and stole a flip-phone left in the car (before iPhones and personal security codes). The next day called the phone company and got the records off of my personal phone - crook kept calling the same numbers. Didn't shut off the phone and just let him keep calling until a pattern emerged. I called each number and spoke to the people who answered - tuned out every household had a teenage girl in the family. Got a hold of "dad" calmly talked him through what happened - asked for his help. Within 2 days, a boy called me at home and told me he would give everything back if I'd stop calling his girlfriends parents (Ha). Arranged for him to come by on a Saturday with the police waiting and drinking coffee in my kitchen. Turned out it was a kid down the block that lived in the most expensive home in the neighborhood - figure that. Small town - didn't have to press charges - police and his dad put a good scare into him. Boy do I miss the old days ..... when we even handled crime like gentlemen. Makes me wonder if we caused our own problems and should have been tougher - I thought it was a better way but, who knows ... 5 1
guideright Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Sorry you had to experience this! Hope this is resolved quickly.
rob Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Upset me to hear this, mate. I hope they get him soon, and that to whatever extent is possible the book is thrown at him. 1
Wailbait Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Sorry to hear that. Our place got robbed a couple of times and it’s a really crummy feeling. In the US, cops were very pleasant but basically said “yeah we aren’t going to catch them.” I guess we got to enjoy the cam footage.
dicko Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Sorry to hear Rob and teamSent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk
Mikepd Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 Sorry to hear this Rob, maybe he was just looking for the 2021 FOH blind tasting results ahead of time to look like the biggest chump... err i mean champ! Honestly though that sucks, hope insurance is quick, and the dirtbag is caught even quicker and you get to pick his punishment!
