Popular Post M1B Posted September 2, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2021 This was my first JL1 and it was bought as a single, so no box code and I'm assuming its a 2021. Weather was rather nice for Georgia this part of the year as storms from Ida had already come thru a couple days prior leaving the temperature in the 60's with a nice breeze and low humidity. Straight away the draw is horrible, but a couple goes with my perfecdraw seems make things better. Despite the low humidity and dry-boxing for 24 hours, I still had burn problems throughout and had to take a quick double puff each time to get any kind of smoke output. First third started with some floral notes and a nice spice that I rather enjoyed. Spicy and floral is not a combination that I would have imagined going together, but somehow it worked for me. Second third had the spice slowly fading away and was replaced by toasted tobacco. Final third brought back a hint of the spice as well some cream to go with a slight uptick in strength. It also got quite bitter (maybe from all the double puffs?) rather quickly and I ended up putting it down by the time I got to the band. Overall, the flavor was good, but the burn issue and the resulting bitterness brought it down a notch for me. Smoke time was 85 minutes. Score: 3/5 10
