Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister are some of the best British comedy. Accurate back then, accurate today, and will still be accurate long into the future.

We had one of our US Senators give a brief (two minute) interview on the local news.    I counted fifteen lies in the first minute!    How do they do it?

They have the “Bad is Good …. Good is Bad mentality”.

@Ken Gargett Not sure which bits of the BBC you get in Aussie,  but well worth watching 'The Thick of it".   Peter Capaldi as the raging Scottish spin doctor (Malcolm Tucker) is hilarious.   It's like a very coarse updated version of Yes Minister.

i have the box set. brilliant stuff.

the moment he receives the birthday cake with "happy birthday &^*&^" in icing and looks at it and shakes his head - 'well this could be from anyone' is one of the funniest things i have ever seen.

Yesterday in the UK,   Micheal Gove conservative MP, and all round repulsive individual that he is,   decided to try and avoid paying £5 to get into a Aberdeen nightclub the other night, reportedly trying to shirk the entrance fee by saying that he was "Chancellor to the Dutchy of Lancaster".      Lovely stuff,   that's just what the bar industry needs after being on it's knees for 2years,   to have and MP, thats been found guilty of using COVID contracts to funnel money to his mates,   to try and skank them out of £5!!.......

Still......nice to know he's enjoying himself

Good to know these tools aren’t exclusive to the US.  South Park nailed it.

I think that is being too kind. They don’t come close to that level.
