Popular Post Meklown Posted August 23, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2021 Smoked before dinner - I had 50 mins before I needing to leave home, so something short. Perfect amount of time to smoke a petit robusto. For a long time I never tried any PRs, mainly cause I never really understood the size. The key problem is because I'm a cheapskate and I always thought that short/fat cigars will end up with the most % of purchased tobacco going to waste. Does that make sense? Eventually, I managed to score some from a 24:24 seconds listing which provided great value. I had no idea why these were listed as seconds, could not find any obvious defects. Those I smoked so far have presented no problems either. On to the cigar - on the cold draw there was mainly cedar. Upon first lighting, it was sweet. The cigar was paired with coconut water and I could find similar sweetness from both. They were surprisingly complementary! In the second third there was the signature sugarcane flavour as described by prez. Not a lot of evolution, but to be expected in a stick this size. Final third continued more of the same. I find that the petit robusto deviates slightly from the "typical" hoyo creaminess. Overall, 82/100. I like the light sweetness as an afternoon cigar. 6
smbauerllc Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Nice review. Not really a fan of the PR's either. Just don't care for anything under 5 inches. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk 1
