I picked up this box of PSP Dip2s last December with plans to bed them down for two or three years, tried one after a month and changed plans immediately. They may not see the year out...⅔ of the way through the box and loving every one.

This example has a beautifully sheened wrapper hinting at rosado, feels consistently firm with a little give and on cutting produces a perfect draw. All par for the course.

1/3 Opens with a deeply Christmassy flavour which makes me smile as it's a beautiful August evening in the local park. Slightly sweet with a delicate spice behind a core of dark and rich fruit - yep, it's cake.

2/3 As it develops and warms a little tart edge comes through, adding to the general winter kitchen vibe. I feel like I should be indoors by a roaring fire.

Dark chocolate and brandy come to mind.

3/3 It's burned perfectly throughout, razor sharp with plenty of rich thick smoke. A little black pepper towards the end but just adding to the clearly defined waves of deep fruitiness and quality 90% chocolate.

Positively edible, they could put these out as a diet plan.

I first had one of these in JJFox a number of years ago and am taken back to the environs of the famous sampling lounge, a place that has at last reopened and will be visited soon - you can guess what I'll be smoking...

I have a box with the very same code, same appearance. Like yours, they have smoked great as soon as acclimatised. I get a resinous, furniture polish note in mine too. Love ‘em!

Great review. Had one from 19 box in July. Best smoke I have had all year.

These remain one of the hidden jewels of the Habanos line IMHO. 
 

The man who gave me the best introductions to Cuban cigars has me smoke this near the end of my tutorial for a reason. It was outstanding and a special cigar. I’m down to my last box and a half and should probably get another box before they turn even more scare during the impending “dark times”.
