What's on for the Weekend?

Got to grill some flat iron steaks (Kroger had them at $8.99/pound). Marinated one in Italian dressing, Pikapepper sauce and some olive oil. Other done more southwestern style, with Carne asada marinade, apple cider vinegar, a splash of Rosado tequila. Dry seasoned before putting on the grill.. Both came out great!

Also grilled some salmon, turkey burgers, and some pre-made spicy brisket burgers. Cigar pairing during the cook was a tasty NC Aladino lancero, which was mild to medium bodied with flavors of nuts, milk chocolate and creamed coffee. Finding myself dipping into the NC realm with the shortage at play. Libation was a Schlitz, followed by a Stroh's. I find lagers pair well with cigars & grilling over charcoal. 

Grilling with a cigar is my "happy place" so this was a perfect end to the weekend.

So I am visiting a friend in California and her daughter dropped off two of her dogs to spend the day. Then my friend went off to her spin class, leaving me with the dogs. I know very little about dogs. They look depressed.
