I take back my earlier comments re the Olympics. 

I could watch womens beach volleyball for hours.

OH that is right I forgot about the Life saving club or was a volleyball team in Cuba way back then so you would have experience with sand

very briefly met anna k on the coast years ago. honestly, you could have walked down to any gold coast beach and seen a hundred like her. also met that spanish girl who was, perhaps not as photogenic as anna k. can't remember the name. she was a really nice person. 

personally my featured match would be gabby S against anyone or even a brick wall. but she is perhaps of a marginally different generation.

For me I’ve always liked the ancient aspect of the games - competitions in skills that are totally useless today - throwing the hammer, archery, pole vault. Fine if your day job is breaking into the Sherriff of Nottingham’s castle to pilfer his treasure chest and wenches, but rather archane for the rest of us sipping on Frappuccinos whilst polishing our LinkedIn profiles and ratcheting up our Instagram followers.
In my opinion, the more absurd the better. Good luck and well done to all those who compete.

The men's 400 meter hurdles was an amazing race and maybe not something I expect to see again.  It was a truly amazing contest and to see a human being run the 400 m hurdles as fast as some world class athletes run the 400m without the hurdles was something to see.
