Popular Post Ken Gargett Posted July 27, 2021 Popular Post Posted July 27, 2021 young aussie girl wins gold in the 100 backstroke. great stuff. first, they cross to the family (looked suspiciously like the same family when arnie won her race yesterday). the sister can't get to the mic quick enough, to tell us, 'i literally cannot speak". and then would not and could shut up. when the interviewer finally got to speak to someone else, the sister barges over and interrupts to tell us again that she 'literally cannot speak'. and off she goes again. they cross back to the interviewer poolside. he is about to speak to the girl who won the thing. he starts by announcing that this is one of the most extraordinary stories in olympic history. at least, to the poor girl's credit, she did look a bit stunned at that. turns out the extraordinary story is... girl is a good swimmer. girl trains hard. girl wins medal. that was it. i literally cannot speak. 1 7
Chas.Alpha Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 ...but it was EXTRAORDINARY! She still cannot speak! Her sister seems to have no problems... Ah, sibling rivalry.
WarriorPrincess Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 You should be a commentator Ken, now that would make me watch it 1 2

MrBirdman Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 In an age where anyone with a camera can broadcast to anyone with a connection, the allure of getting onto “real television” endures… MLB stadiums mostly have bans on mobile phone use in the first row or two right behind home plate, where fans are often visible for much of the broadcast. Game in game out people would sit there and call everyone they knew so they could wave to them on live TV.
Chibearsv Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 I've been watching YouTube highlights of the events with the sound turned off. Believe it or not, I can still tell who wins a race or who hit the bullseye. They even show the judges scores in the judged events. Some of the winners cry or jump up and down and I can tell they're happy. Some of the losers scowl and I can tell they're sad. Not too tough to figure it all out really.

Just the regular news hour and that is enough of a BS feed. Just happy the "silent woke" could not stand the heat in the kitchen and is out. 1
