jbosma Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 First of its kind or are there others out there? https://www.dailyitem.com/business/three-business-partners-create-mobile-cigar-lounge/article_512dbea8-d4e9-11eb-9ec0-830cace13781.html
rcarlson Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Not the first of its kind. We have several in Atlanta. Haven't seen them in a long while. Don't know how they've fared.
cmbarton Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 There are several in Texas too. I had an opportunity to purchase a custom lounge trailer for about $40k. I should have jumped on it. Even without any business that’s a decent price for a personal indoor lounge for colder/hotter months. In the article, the guys converting the trailer into a lounge said they were only going to stock the humidor with “higher” quality cigars. In the photos, you see that consists of ACID and Ghurka. 😑 3 1
Meesterjojo Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 They've got em in texas, as mentioned above. I've never been to one but I like the idea. I truly believe I could retire and smoke cigars now if I'd do something like this. This region is ripe for such a place. No cigar stores for over 200 miles. Slews of rich, affluent tourists. The closest thing might be the gage hotel in marathon, but they can't maintain their humidor so folks bring their own to smoke. Edit: if anyone comes out to deep west texas and wants to smoke, head over to the gage. They've got my 20 year Taylor port, and some real fine oversize rocking chairs to watch the skies with while you smoke.
jbosma Posted June 29, 2021 Author Posted June 29, 2021 We only have 2 cigar bars in South Dakota that I know of. State law forbids any new ones. Seems this could be a way around that. Love the idea.
Mickey D Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Great for parties, weddings, and other events that might restrict enjoying cigars outdoors. ive seen another that uses a very nice Airsteam trailer. Classy.
RichG Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 We have one in Long Island NY, which is a converted Airstream or similar. It's called "Long Island Cuban Cigar and Bourbon Experience", but further reading on their site shows that they serve cigars by Ashton, EP Carillo and My Father. I personally don't see the appeal of packing into a truck like sardines to smoke, these things are not for me. 1
