Cohiba Ciglo IV vs Cohiba Siglo VI

Hi all,

What would be your preference between Cohiba Ciglo IV and Cohiba Siglo VI if money is not an object. Please don't judge by prestige having something. I would like to hear your opinion based on your personal taste, preferences and the cigar quality.

VI is and always has been the best of the Siglos. It's a standout. Price not a factor, you'd go VI every time.

I like the IV. I'd go Esplendidos if that was an option vs the VI. And generally will smoke more IVs than VIs. Not to say the IV is better but it's like people who like Lusitanias but don't have the time/patience to smoke them.

I’ve smoked a lot more IVs than VIs, so all I’ll say is I’ve had a lot of wonderful IVs. Had one this evening, with a glass of wine in the sun with my 83 year old mum, and it really would be hard to beat.

I enjoy a larger ring gauge cigar so that may play into my preference. I would pick the Siglo VI every time.

Not only do I prefer the size, I also prefer the flavor profile.

Yeah have to join the chorus in picking the VI, especially if we're leaving cost out. That said, I personally would take a Siglo V over either of them.

It's a curious choice without a price factor.  Don't sleep on III or V, they are both terrific.  If I had a choice of any current production Cohiba - IV would be near the bottom of my list and VI would be near the top.

Always thought that a good Sig VI is just about as good as a CC can get.  That said I think the IV is more interesting and far more consistent.  It’s just a unique blend to the rest of the Siglo line and in the best vitola there is.  Ask me tomorrow I’ll have a different answer but tonight I’m saying Sig IV.

As some above have eluded to, at Sig6 pricing fade those & opt for Laguito Espys or Piramides given that choice.

Tho I do love an occasional chonk Sig6 tho!

SIGLO VI for my palate the best cigar on the market. If i had the coin it would be my go to cigar without hesitation.

I have enjoyed consistently better performance, and ‘flavor true to the blend’ with Siglo IV. I’ll take a Corona Gorda vitola over a Cañonazo every time. Siglo IV for me.

For the question at hand, I’d take VI over IV...for both flavor profile and size preference. FWIW, I’d take IV over CoRo, and Espy or Piramides over VI, based mainly on flavor profile.

It's the size more than any consideration. I'll take the IV.

I have a few VIs, a tenner that I can't seem to bust and a few hidden in tubes, and they can be great. That corona gorda is just about as good a size as there is and I've had some great boxes of IVs.
