Popular Post Jimmy_jack Posted June 15, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 15, 2021 I’ve always been a fan of Dunhill stuff, especially the lighters. I bought this a while back for cheap because the lid wouldn’t close or keep gas. Finally got around to fixing it. Total disassemble and thorough cleaning. Works a charm now. Silly I know, but very pleased. Can’t wait to light a cigar. It will be that much tastier now lol. 11 2
smbauerllc Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 Very nice looking lighter. Dunhill does seem to make a lot of very classy looking accessories, but they tend to be quite pricey. Just got a couple of my first Dunhill Cigars to try, and hopefully they are really good as they were also pretty pricey, and difficult to find anything other than Cigarillos by them
Jimmy_jack Posted June 15, 2021 Author Posted June 15, 2021 I believe They’ve cut back on most products in general. This lighter was like $35-50 if I remember correctly. So a cheap buy for sure.

BrightonCorgi Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 Check your local Craigslist, they come up for sale.
smbauerllc Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 I have a nice xikar but it sits in a drawer unusable since the veteran's home wont allow us to have butane to refill lighters, so I'm stuck using a common Bic. Much harder to get a good, even light with them than with a nice torch I see its a soft flame. Is it a butane or zippo fluid refillable?

At $3 I consider them somewhat disposable. They come prefilled with butane, and they are great at lighting cigars. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Scripto-Torch-Flame-Refillable-Wind-Resistant-Pocket-Lighter-1-Pack/448324754?wmlspartner=wlpa

Queens88 Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 Nice lighter. My Rollagas is rarely out of my sight.

I prefer a soft flame when I can. 1

Do you have or used tools specifically used for lighter repair?

So there are a lot of videos on YT for repairing. I can only speak about the rollagas. Easy to fix. Small flat heat screwdriver, wood toothpick or kabob stick, some tool box buddy or clp of your choice and control swabs. there are kits on eBay, I purchased one. With the kit I got appropriate springs, o-rings and other parts. The one piece that is difficult to find is the gas straw-tube that the flame comes from. You may have to buy a parts lighter for that. Luckily mine is okay. 2
