Popular Post cigaraholic Posted May 29, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 29, 2021 Food and wine paring is part of what I did for a living, I enjoy cigar and drink paring almost as much. You always want the pyramid effect 1+1=3. I reviewed a cigar out of this box a while back and remembered saying it would be nice to have a Sauternes with it because it had a lemon cake profile. Normally I like Port with RA because I’m expecting a dark fruitcake or as some would say Christmas cake...aka pudding. Of all the boxes of this cigar I’ve been thru this one has the lightest wrappers, but how much flavor does the wrapper add😜 Nicely filled with a firm draw at 10.2g. A chip off the ole box with nice lemon cake flavor in the first puffs. I got the cigar a little hot posing for a selfie, then while trying to take a picture of the cigar and my drink the wind took the cigar for a backflip off my porch, it didn’t stick the landing, the wrapper took a beating. I knew this cigar wasn’t going to be as good as the last one I smoked, it had the lemon cake and toasted tobacco but no creamy nut flavor the last one had. But I had the creamy citrus richness of a lovely 09 Doisy-Vedrines, that more than made up. It made the toasted tobacco sweat, soft and creamy. If I was a numbers guy I’d say it took a 89 to a 92. I’ve never been able to blow good smoke rings but until today I didn’t realize I could make Cuban cigar clouds🌈 9
