Popular Post joeypots Posted May 17, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 17, 2021 I live in a beautiful place. Unspoiled beaches and clear freshwater ponds are a testament to the wisdom of the people who worked to preserve the beach at the end of Cape Cod. The beach here is a geological anomaly, and there is far less sandy beach on the east coast of the USA than people realize. About 30 miles of it is just out side my door. It is so spectacular that it was made a national park in the 1960s. On the busiest days of the summer season one can find solitude on sandy beach and dunes here if you are willing to walk as little as a half a mile. The only downside to the conservation effort that created The Cape Cod National Seashore is its success. Staggering percentages of desirable land are in federal conservation in perpetuity; that's forever. Add in a little municipal conservation and something like 70+% of the land is unbuildable and about 90% of the homes in my town are owned by people who don't live here. An ordinary house is consequently very expensive and it's hard to get a toe hold in the market. I got in 35 yers ago, but I doubt I could work and live the way I do if I was trying to get established now. Anyway, weather and cigars. Spring is here and it's beautiful. Cool nights and sunny comfortable days. It's been a long time coming. Soon it'll be hazy, hot, and humid and crowds of people will come to escape summer heat enjoy this paradise. We are in the middle of pollen season now and it can be a tough week or two for allergy sufferers. I was somewhat affected this week but it didn't stop me from taking it easy, indoors, and smoking a LUB MAR 14, MC#2. This one was a great potent cigar. It's been a good box and as there are fewer than 10 cigars left in it I'll probably hide a couple for posterity and see how they fare really long term. I'll give it 5 stars. 12
karp Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Nice review! I miss the ocean but fingers crossed I will get to see it later this summer.
