Popular Post Mrcpt Posted May 3, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 3, 2021 Cheap & cheerful here. Not a long review as there isn’t really much in a way of transition, but I’ll tell you, the flavours here are really something special. In my honest opinion, you really can’t beat JLP Cazzies for the price and size. These guys look the way they smell, rustic and barnyard. There’s also a hint of bitter baking chocolate or powdered chocolate. Upon lighting, flavors are similar, there’s also a meaty leather in the finish. The burn is pretty quick, which is expected since this is short filler. Either way, aside from the rough look, the construction is pretty good, especially considering the price. I like to use a one to five scale to rate cigars: 1 - would not smoke again; 2 - would smoke again; 3 - would buy singles; 4 - would buy a box; 5 - go deep on boxes. I would rate this cigar a 5: I got these with a few years of age on them, so I can’t say whether they are in a sweet spot or if this is their standard performance. To me this is the perfect cigar to settle down with after working outside all day. It also makes a great second cigar if you’re not quite done smoking after a first nicer stick. It’s definitely worth keeping a stock of these on hand. 7
Bolismoker Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 Great review. I couldn’t agree more. For the price these are great and also great to give to friends who don’t routinely smoke. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Ginseng Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 Fine review. I have smoked many a JLP (mostly the Cazadores) and find them perfect as a throwaway cigar that occasionally surprises but often satisfies (for what it is, at least). 2
Huckleberry Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 I have smoked a handful and have been pleasantly surprised with the enjoyment provided in the experience. I have often wanted to purchase more, but I am transfixed on some shinier objects at the moment. Solid cigar. 1
Scubasteve20 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Nice review. You've officially convinced me to give the JLP marca a go. Sounds right up my alley, not sure why I've never tried. 1
griller Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Nice review! Is that the Cazadores? I enjoyed a Conservas a couple of weeks ago that exactly mirrored your experience. For the price these are hard to beat, and you won't feel guilty if you get a dud & decide to toss it. 1 1
Billybats Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Recently found one in my box which had been sitting around for 5 years plus, smoked it during a poker game - surprisingly good and very mellow. Wish I had more but that was my last one
KCCubano Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 I have some in singles drawer that are at least 15 years old. Been meaning to fire one up lately and this review has inspired me to do so
Ginseng Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 These are not great cigars by any stretch of the imagination. But for about $3 a stick, worthy. Just keep in mind that they are short filler and not full-leaf. Smoke accordingly and all is well.
