Vegas Robaina Famoso - SLE FEB 16 (VVRW#1)

I bought this box early on in my CC journey, as part of my mission to try out every marca, but somehow forgot to actually smoke it. The box has been resting for just over 6 months now, so definitely ready to smoke.

First third: Opens with a rich, toasty tobacco flavor. Really well balanced flavor profile, as it's easy to sit back and enjoy the generally rich flavors, but I'm able to pick out notes of shortbread, coffee, cream, and cinnamon with some focus.

Middle third: The flavor profile continues to be driven by a core of rich tobacco. Creamy coffee is the otherwise most noticeable flavor profile. The cigar had been a bit under medium bodied in the first third but has picked up to more of a medium full at this point.

Last third: Creamy toasted tobacco is still the core of the flavor profile, but there are some nice notes of dark cocoa powder and cinnamon and other baking spices.

Overall: Extremely tasty, but a bit linear with the consistently prominent rich creamy tobacco flavor. Will try out a few more, but this seems like a good box for enjoyable lazy smoking when I don't want to be paying close attention to the cigar. 90/100

Nice review. You had a much better experience with yours than I did. I got a dud, but my fault since I didn’t buy more than one single to try again. Your review gives me hope lol. I’ll have to get my hands on some more singles soon.

I got lucky with this aged box as I purchased it late last year, and found threads on this forum that generally had positive things to say about Famosos from SLE:

I don't think SLE Famosos were at their best. I think ARS was a big improvement continuing into BSM. Been in my regular rotation since then, although I've been finding some construction issues in Q2 20 BSM boxes.
