Popular Post Zaxeiler Posted February 26, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2021 Smoked this fun little shape in the middle of winter - Cuaba Divinos. It's a Petit Perfecto 4 x 43, had the box code RAT May 20. Aroma smells like sweet sweat or cinnamon earth. Cold draw is a little tight, but a vague fermented tobacco. Spicy cedar dominated the light up, with a little odd canoe or void right at the foot. As it settles in, it reminds me of an earthy non Cuban taste, kinda Dominican leaf with a little Honduran on the finish. Compared to other cubans, light Bolivar cedar, Partagas spice, and the hints of Trinidad bread. Very balanced. Continuing into the widest part, more of those spices coming forward - cinnamon, all spice, little bread, maybe some nutmeg. A little spice bomb with cream mixing in and out. As it moved into the middle third, the cream moved dominant becoming a little cream stick. Moving into the back third, those spices were back. Nice transitions to keep a small stick interesting. Back third kept the same profile, but got a little ashy and chemical. Wrapper is nice and oily with some small tooth. Draw just a touch tight, good smoke output. Burn was uneven, but it was hard to start even with the tiny diameter foot (without burning further up the cigar) so may have been my fault. In this size, I think I prefer something like the HUHC a little better, but it was a great smoke in the first 2/3rds. Score of 3/5 for me. 11

All the Divinos I have ever tried have been rolled too tight to enjoy. Like trying to suck an ice cube through a straw. I gave up on them and only get the larger Tradicionales and exclusivos. Nice review btw. This forum has lots of great reviews compared to others Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk 2

Yeah, I'm confident that's the reason I had trouble with so many of them. The larger ones haven't had any issues for me. I'm betting because they are larger and thus easier to roll properly I definitely enjoy Cuabas. Very tasty and not bad on price, with the exception of the Distinguidos which I feel are pretty overpriced when the Tradicionales and Exclusivos are just fine size-wise and are much cheaper. Different profile than most CC's, but was OK for what it was. Too many better cigars in smaller formats to see if this was a fluke 5er or not. 2
Connoisseur Kim Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 @Zaxeiler, I 've never had any Cuaba before, but I might stick other small CCs like HUHC instead of Cuaba Divinos after reading yer review. BTW, I really enjoy all four tea leaves and these tea leaves are absolutely addicting for sure LOL ? 1

I think I prefer both the HUHC and the Monte PEs over the Cuaba, but I got it in a trade from a buddy, it fit this review week, and it was a fun little shape. Seems like I got lucky on the taste and draw based on others’ experiences. Glad you’re enjoying the tea! 2

I absolutely like these tea leaves and can't wait to pair with CCs in someday ? 1
