Occasionally I like to have a quick little smoke.

Has anyone tried the Montecristo Puritos or Trinidad Shorts?

Considering getting a pack of each with my next order and am curious what others have thought of them

I like the Montecristo Puritos. I like the size more than anything, a good 15-20 minutes.

Cohiba Shorts are probably the best received of the machine made cigarillos if you're considering the Short format in the Trinidads. I think a few new Shorts were released recently (Monte maybe?).

I'm a big Montecristo and Trinidad fan, which is a big part of why I'm considering them. They are also the largest of the ones this vendor has, which I like too

Size is why I rejected the Cohibas. They are 3/4ths of an inch shorter and a fair bit smaller rg.

All the Shorts are the same size as far as I know. Many vendors mislist the size of them so be careful. I am pretty sure the Trinidad Shorts are the same size as the Cohiba Shorts.

Edit: From what I remember the RG of the Shorts is the same as the Puritos/Chicos but the length is the same as the Mini.

Edit 2: Seems they are a bit smaller RG but Trinidad Shorts match Cohiba Shorts:

Thanks for the info. You certainly appear correct that they are misidentifying the length and rg of the Trinidads.

Will definitely have to reconsider the Cohiba Shorts now as they are getting good reviews across the several forums I posted this question.

They also have partagas chicos and RyJ Puritos if anyone has tried those.

All the Puritos are very good. I like the Partagas Chicos the best (they actually have quite a following) but the Monte are also very good. The RyJ are good but my least favorite. A tad lighter than the others IMO. There is also a Partagas Puritos in Serie-style packaging I've never tried.

The Cohiba and Trini Shorts are excellent but they are shorter than Puritos and more expensive. Too short for me. But they are very tasty.

I always keep plenty of Cohiba Shorts, Trini Shorts and Partagas Chicos on hand for short smoke breaks.

Can't go wrong with any of the three imho.

Good week for you to ask this question with the small cigar contest.  Here's the 3 I plan on smoking - Party club, cohiba short, and trinidad short.  The 2 shorts are the same size.  For my needs I like the partagas clubs most because I can cut them in half and have 2 5min smokes vs 15-20 of the shorts.

I’d take a Monte Purito over a Cohiba short any day. I usually get around 30 minutes from the Monte. I picked up a box of Trini shorts last week to give them a try but haven’t done so yet.

Cohiba Shorts have an initial tasty burst that does not always carry through.

Have you any interest in the Montecristo Short? Not sure if anyone has any experience - if so, are they a new release? Appears to be in the mold of Cohiba/Trinidad Shorts.

The vendor I'll be using only has the Montecristo Puritos. I'm leaning towards the puritos/chicos anyway for the bit of extra length and thickness, but may just buy a 5 pack of everything and find out what I like.

They are cheap enough not to be upset if I don't care for some of them

Both the Cohiba and Trinidad shorts are excellent.  The Trinis tend to be a little smoother and milder overall than the Cohibas, but the flavors of both are very similar in my opinion.  I have not yet tried the Montecristos, but I plan to.  Great for work smoke breaks.

This thread convinced me to try a Monte Puritos today--and they are better than I expected them to be--real Monte taste--another winter smoke found.

Don't mean to bring this back to life, but I'm genuinely very curious about the Montecristo shorts, Anyone one have them? I had plenty of the Cohiba and Trinidad and they're both very good. Cohiba Seems a bit stronger.
