Seen her fire all guns broadside in '87 was 3 cables off her Starboard quarter . Hit a spot 5 miles distance , the wall of water could be seen for 5 minutes before it dissipated. Then later lobed a 2200 lb. projectile 24 Nautical miles aided by a chopper for over the horizon info and nailed and old car target on the beach of the naval gunnery range the island of Vieques, about 5 miles east of mainland Puerto Rico. Crazy fire power.

I have a weird thing for buildings on cliffsides. They seem so dangerous, but at the same time... Imagine looking out that window everyday. A stick at that view would be priceless... Provided it not too high in elevation and you actually can smoke it.

Some absolutely stunning photos in this slide show.  The WW2 ones were incredible, Easy Company on Eagles Nest, and you have to hand it to those Nazis, they knew how to throw a rally.  The scale shown makes the videos look small.
