Founded in 1915, Oriental Park was the only race track in Cuba in the days before Fidel Castro came to power in 1959. A coworker of mine found an old Cardboard advertisement for Oriental Park at an antique shop in Denver during the pandemic. I insisted he buy it without letting it out of his site. Its hanging in my Dad's office now, but I have a photo somewhere. I'll try to find it and post it up when I get home tonight. My family is deep into horse racing, so it holds even more value to us than it would to a regular old collector. It's very cool. 2 1

Stevieboy Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Holding On" by Spanish photographer Igor Altuna. The image, shortlisted for the 2022 Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award, shows a leopardess carrying a dead baboon in its mouth, with the monkey's baby clinging on. Popular Post Glass Half Full Posted April 24, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 24, 2023 Some pics from our family trip to Cuba in 2018. The country seemed so full of promise, as the "Obama opening" seemed to be working, with so many family entrepreneurs. ...The 2nd shot is of the farming process in the Vuelta Abajo, taken by my younger son. The 3rd pic is one of my older son pitching in an open game in the Vuelta Abajo; they were so welcoming... Then is the car owned by the gentleman who drove us, handed down from his grandfather, though now powered by a Mitsubishi diesel engine. The 5th is just a random pic of a gentleman in Trinidad. Hoping the best for these good people. 14 2
