The Joseph E. Hall Cigar Store in Alton produced a variety of tobacco products, including their "Keystone" cigar. One factory produced the "Piasa" and other brands. The prices could run from 5 cents to the more refined Cuban cigars manufactured here in Alton. One of the first cigar stores was owned by Capt. Brueggemann in 1881.

Hollywood Beach, FL sunrise. Later in the day a Ferrari in Havana. Or is it? I told my father in law to catch up with it so I could get a better shot. I'd seen 1000's of Ferraris then I started thinking of a Toyota Supra I used to drive. It had a loud exhaust, many in Miami at red lights used to rev their engines hoping I would race them. It was a stock 6 cylinder, the only car I was going to beat was a Yugo. But then one day, I was the idiot revving the engine at a red light trying to entice a Ferrari into a race. I squealed the tires, and beat the Ferrari. Or did I? At the next light I realize something isn't right, as Ferrari engines have distinct sounds. It was a dadgummed kit car with a VW engine! So, that is what I think we have here as I did not hear that Ferrari engine sound. Ferrari experts chime in. John
