What was the fascination with cigar cutters and toilet pots :o

This is the third one that I have come across in as many weeks.

Unusual and a rare bronze figurine of a seated man on a chamber pot. Signed. Estate fresh condition. When his head is pushed down, it cuts the cigar with the end being deposited into the pot. Well detailed. Warm aged patina.

I'm wondering if it was ever common to just leave your coat on and work around it while poppin a squat.

It's obvious, isn't it? If it was a bad cigar, you can always say, "By god, this is a crap cigar. I shit you not, it is a real turd! It really does belong in the crapper!!" :P

I saw this and instantly thought that would be perfect in the bathroom of Kragun Resort in Minnesota. My company makes us meet there every 2 years I always get one with a toilet phone. We've nick named the rooms that have these the "Lyndon B Johnson" Suite.
