Fosgate Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Wanting a little input before I order. It's that time for me to make an order again. I don't really know what is smoking well this year as I've been crazy busy the last couple years to follow. I've gone through the robusto phase and seemed to fall in love with a slightly smaller ring gauge and longer smoke, especially on those tiring days where I like to sit back with a glass of Plantation Barbados 20yr XO or Zaya on one hand and a smoke resting between my index and middle finger. Sounds weird I know but a robusto I tend to grab thumb to index finger and just notice I mess with it more vs just kicking back. One of my current favs of the Hoyo Epicure Especial though I wish it was a little longer. Seems I get to the end of it frequently and I'm wishing I had another 1/3rd. Been itching to try Partagas Lusitania or Sir Winston but seems nobody has those two available currently. Two robustos I'm still liking the Quinteros Favoritos after infusing them with Citroen liquer and toss those to the friends that have never tried a Cuban and want to try, but they really are not cigar smokers that I want to see waste a better cigar. Partagas D4's (last of the two boxes of D4's I had from 2014 really came around at about 2yrs of age and didn't survive past then.) The only thing I didn't like about them was of the 2 boxes I ordered, about half a box worth of wrappers split either before getting to where I lived at the time or shortly thereafter. I still smoked them though the foot looked like they got mangled by an explosive cigarette load on many, they were still tasty. I think it had to do with the long travel time into a cold dry climate really did not do them justice and out of a supplier/sellers control. With that little input I'm always a fan of Tubos and checking out new cigars in 3-10 packs and wondering if any of you have tried these this year and maybe something you would recommend to avoid, OK or suggest something different. Quintero Favoritos 25ct or Tubo 3pk- Don't know if I want a 25ct taking up room in the humidor for something nicer but tasty infused. Punch Punch 25ct or 10's or Tubo- Never tried but heard good things- Not sure if I should order a box of 25 to start though. Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure Especial 25ct, 10, or tobo pack- One of my favs San Cristobal- La Fuerza - Another fav Partagas D4- 10ct or tubos- Would prefer Tubos-maybe survive shipping a little better? Partagas Super Partagas 25ct- Seems like an affordable smoke in the size I may like in the Partagas lineup? RyJ Churchill -10 or 3 pack or tubos?- Never tried before but I did like the Wide Churchill and RyJ has always been a solid smoke for me- hoping to try a Churchill 3-10pk. Anyway, Looks like a lot of online sellers including FOH seem picked over, some of them have those options but I don't really trust any of those other sellers authenticity/quality to be as reputable as Rob. Any suggestions?

Chas.Alpha Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 I ripped though 3 boxes of Bolivar Petit Coronas this year, all of them MSU 19. Pure magic in a PC. I’m keeping a sharp eye for these during the 24/24. I haven’t had a dud from ‘19. Everything I have from last year has been great. With one disappointment: I think it was an off-year for the R&J Churchills. Some may disagree, but the sticks from 14-18 were better. Anything from before that are now only a memory... ?? The Por Larranaga PC’s are smoking very well, and Rob and friends say they only get better. Hard to believe they can get much better! D4’s are pretty great and ready for burning, IMHO. The 2019 ARS ‘19 Trinidad Fundadores are the star of my show, but you better have the quick draw of Wild Bill Hickok to snatch them when offered on 24/24! The RASCC and the P Shorts are also wonderful this year. As fas as online ordering, I’ve pretty much settled on Cigar Czar. The quality, service and attention to detail is unmatched. They are listed as a Habanos S.A. authorized merchant. Call me superstitious, but I don’t trust anyone that can’t make that claim... Please see the packing on the CORO’s! My two cents. 3

I typically love a few Petit Coronas, I liked the San Cristobal El Principe but found myself smoking 3-4 at a time thinking why don't I just buy a double next time? Those Trinidads look really tempting and right up my alley. Thanks for the input.
