Popular Post saltbox Posted December 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 21, 2020 Rested at 62RH for just over two months since receiving the sampler. I've only tried the PC from Bolivar previously so excited to see how the vitolas compare. First third: Opens with dark roasted coffee and earth, with a lightly sweet cream on the finish. After a quarter inch, the earthiness fades a bit and the cream becomes more prominent with a light touch of vegetal black licorice on the finish. There's a low level of spice in the background throughout, and towards the end a bit of nuttiness appears on the finish. Middle third: Creamy coffee with licorice on the finish. Pepper spice picks up on the finish and starts to linger for longer after each puff. Last third: Cream, coffee, earth, nuts, licorice, spice in descending order. Towards the end some shortbread appears on the retrohale. Overall: Ultimately this BBF was quite similar to the BPCs I've already had, with maybe more creaminess throughout and some room for small variations and transitions over the course of the longer smoke. There was maybe a touch of youth in some faint harshness towards the end but overall a great smoke. Draw was perfect with a tiny bit of the tip clipped, and the burn, while a bit uneven initially, evened itself out without any intervention. 92/100 7
