Agree with @DaBoot on Trinidad in general.  Every one I've had has been really good or great.  Best I've had for 2020 is the Esmeralda!  I think they are richer in flavor than Vigia and with a longer smoke time, win/win.

Just got a box of Coloniales that are resting before I give them a go.  Wrappers are very dark which doesn't seem very Trinidad-like but they look and smell great.

ARS rolled Vigia from 2019.

This code produced some of the best looking Trini ever + not ridiculously priced like the new vitolas.

Esmeraldas has highest peak, but Topes is just a slight notch down but much more consistent.

Coloniales most improved and probably best value.

Could pick any of those 3 and I’d nod in agreement.

Yeah mostly would just echo what's been said above: pretty much the whole line is hitting on all cylinders. I've mostly been smoking 2018 and 2019, but the 2020's I've picked up look as good if not better. Coloniales in particular have made a significant improvement since even 2018, when it was still far too inconsistent for a "premium" marca.

Media Luna is probably the only one I wouldn't recommend - while they may get better with some age, I've had some that were bitter and even the best ones were only OK. While I do really like a good Esmerelda, and I've only smoked them with 11-12 months age at this point, I've had a few that were decidedly "meh." They were good, just not great, but then again I don't much care for large ring gauges. A few were wind tunnels.

To me the decision mostly comes down to your preferred vitola(s) and your budget. Because if you asked me to just recommend one Trini, it would be Fundis by a country mile. If they aren't in your budget (either financially or time-wise) and you enjoy smaller RG cigars like I do, Coloniales are the best value in the line.

I have a box of ARS 19 Fundadores. 5 sticks in, flawless. Absolutely stellar!

My Vigias outsmoked 2019/2020 La Trova, Fundies, Esmeralda and Reyes. All the others were very good, but Vigia had that notch above. Know we all know...but the marca all around I have to say crushed it compared to others where I had 3+ vitolas.

Thanks for the response.  Never tried a Trinidad,  just figured I'd throw that question out there to see which direction to start off. Thanks.

Reyes for sure imo, true classic

Always epic is the Vigia. I don’t even like that size of cigar any other time. Fundadores is also very good. The La Trova’s are probably not worth the price though unless you want the pretty big size.

When you skydive, do you go head over or back flip?

Ha.  Head over off the wing, back flip at terminal, Triple Lindy on a cutaway.
