Popular Post bkdash Posted December 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 21, 2020 This is my 5th cigar from the Christmas sampler. This specific cigar was from our sampler and has been stored in my humidor for a little over 2 months now. Paired this with a port wine (pictured below) and a seltzer water. Weather is 30F with 66RH. Prelight brings hay with light spice. Draw is perfect and that surprised me because this cigar has almost no give it's so packed! 1/3: Leather and sour earth start things off. Leather continues along until a light sweetness comes in after the first inch or so. Coffee comes in as well towards the middle of the 1/3. The sweetness in this cigar was hard for me to put into words. End of this third was more coffee, leather and this sweetness. Medium body 2/3: Delightful dark coffee and leather continue. The sweetness becomes more noticeable and it's a mix of sugar, dried prunes and vanilla. Leather, coffee and with a side of sweet continue through this third as well. Medium body 3/3: Ash has been dropping off in 3rds. More leather and dark coffee but the sweetness drops all a lot. Strength picks up to medium full. Leather is picking up as I smoke through this third. Last inch or so of this cigar is leather and spice. This was a good cigar to me but I don't believe it's worthy of it's LE status at least this specific cigar (still young). Smoke time 70 minutes to the nub. 88/89 8
