Popular Post sho671 Posted December 20, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 20, 2020 Last August I picked up a few RyJ SC AT three packs while in Havana and enjoyed them enough that I have periodically added three pack ATs to my orders. Robustos are my preferred size for both NC and CC and the SCs have been one of the CCs I have been smoking fairly consistently this year. Due to the nature of buying three packs, I'm not sure what the box dates have been but about mid-way through this year I took advantage of a two box promo deal and now have a couple boxes with dates. I haven't smoked the non-tubed offerings yet but the ATs have been great. Setting: Mid-morning on 12/20/20. It was 20 F out, a little cloudy. Paired with: Dark hot chocolate with marshmallows. Cut: Colibri V-cut. Pre-light: A subjectively perfect draw. First Third: Bready and creaminess. Second Third: Continued breadi- and creami-ness, but now with a slight saltiness. Last Third: Nothing new compared to first two thirds. My appreciation of the SCs continues with today's smoke. In my experience, they have a perfect draw with ample smoke production and razor sharp and perfect burn line. The ash tends to hold on and I have not been disappointed with them thus far. I have not sampled the entirety or even the majority of the Habanos regular production line by any means, but in my opinion with limited experience, the RyJ SCs are what I consider the best production cigar. 3/5. 8
