Every week we're going to have a poll about a certain quote and who said it. Could be a famous quote from history, a line from a movie or a song, the opening line to a novel, something very topical, etc...

We'll create a poll with the quote and a question based on it, from the answer options you just have to pick the correct one.

Voters who pick correctly go into the draw for an El Pres Sampler!!    (Drawn Tuesday morning, Brisbane time. Please note: Polls don't show on Tapatalk, but you can participate via a web version of the site)

NO GOOGLING!! And it may not help you anyway - depending on how tricky we get with the question. We're using the honour system. It's just a bit of fun. If you know, you know. If you don't, have a stab in the dark or an educated guess (if you prefer that term ;)).

You may elaborate about your choice in the topic thread below if you wish but no posting of anything that gives the answer away to those who haven't voted.

Now you know the drill, vote away!

Good luck!! :cigar:

You don’t know Alan Rickman?!  Star of the greatest Christmas movie ever?

“Hans....bubby....I’m your white knight.”

or maybe Severus Snape is more your thing...both great roles and he had many others.

Pure guess. Wife got me to watch Notting Hill before we visited London long ago. Told me it was “the best movie ever”; I haven’t fallen for any of her recommendations since.  Only good part was that she insisted we visit Notting Hill and we ate lunch there and had delicious pizza.

Coulda guessed that with only the list of actors and "saucy minx".  Didn't need the movie name.  Lol.

Just googled him . Nooooo, not at all. I watch sport , heaps of cigar reviews , plenty of you tube etc. I would not have the first clue on any of these. It is fun guessing tho. ?

Looks interesting, I'll have to check it out. Maybe the tense "was" now applies.....?

westie, i had that attitude many years ago. no way was i watching it. not sure how or why i ended up but i have probably seen it a dozen times. amazing cast. it is uneven - HG as prime minister? but the highlights are magic. bill nighy puts in not only the greatest role of his life but one of the greatest of all time!! you cannot watch him without howling in fits of laughter. funniest rock star ever.

and colin firth and the girl from portugal. brilliant stuff. i have tears from laughing every time.

rowan atkinson as the fastidious sales person. sensational.

liam neeson and he does not kill anyone.

westie, give it up. watch it. i promise you that if you do, it won't be the last time.

indeed, best christmas movie ever.

and may i say, perhaps the easiest one of these comps ever.
