Montecristo No 2 12DCRC

Setting: Early-ish morning on 12/13/20. It snowed about an inch last night and it was a little chilly this morning at around 13 degrees, but sunny with little to no wind.

Paired with: 6 oz of Swiss Miss Dark Chocolate mixed with ~2 oz of medium roast coffee.

Cut: Three straight cuts with the Perfect Cutter.

Pre-light: Draw was a little restricted with the first two cuts, but just how I like it after the third.

First Third: Things started out with some bitter cocoa, not unlike the dark hot chocolate I was drinking (not sure if it was power of suggestion or a great pairing).

Second Third: The cocoa continued through the second third but a noticeable sweetness also emerged. Unfortunately I did have to relight the cigar at this point, but otherwise no issues with construction.

Last Third: The cocoa seemed to wane in the last third, but the sweetness persisted until right around the band. Beyond that, all I could taste was a bitter acridness; shortly after which I stopped smoking the cigar.

This was a good smoke, not unlike the other Monte No 2's I've had.

I usually don't have time to smoke during the work week, so I'll be back with more 12DCRC reviews next weekend. Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a good week.

I believe proper defense is Tiger grip? Or is it Panther?
