thestogiewhisperer Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Hey guys, I know most cigar smokers like neat spirits like rum or whisky with their sticks but I’m curious how many of you like cocktails with yours. I very much enjoy an espresso martini, negroni or White Russian with my cigars. What are your thoughts ? 1 1
Zigatoh Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Bellininitini 2 shots vodka, 1/2 or 1 peach schnapps, top up with champagne in a martini glass with a block of ice. 1st one goes well with any cigar, 2nd goes great, not sure about the third and can't remember the fourth or fifth... 2 2

JohnS Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Over the years I've had Brandy Alexanders, Martinis, Manhattans, Negronis, Sidecars, Sazeracs, Bloody Marys, Caipirinhas, Champagne Cocktails, Mai Tais and Mint Juleps but the one cocktails that is a 'go-to' for me remains the Old Fashioned. So simple but so good! 3 1

Piligrim Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 old fashioned (in different varieties), rusty nail, boulevardier, vieux carre. 3 1
Bill Hayes Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Old fashioned here too. Also Manhattan. I know it's sacrilege but I like dark rum on ice with a dash of coke and bourbon on ice with a dash of coke. Also like a woody whisky (not sweet or isla) highball on hot days. Espresso martini for sipping with cold water on the side. 2 1
Shrimpchips Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 In the warmer weather, a paloma with mezcal or a mezcal mule is a nice alternative to rum/whisky/bourbon based cocktails. Cooler weather calls for an old fashioned for sure though. 2 1

Meklown Posted December 23, 2020 Posted December 23, 2020 Old fashioned usually but if I'm smoking at a beach it gets me in a pina colada mood 1 1
