novasurf Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I am still working on this and will let you know by next week.
DocRKS Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 I'll be there on Sunday at Florio's in Little Italy.....:-)
skyletto Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 This is the weekend I've promised my son I'd take him on a trip somewhere. Rob--let me know if you're in town the 16th or before, or after the 20th.
Jimmy2 Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 I hope to meet some of you on Sunday to .But to tell you the truth I am hoping to make Saturday a all night party feast with Prez and friend's.And I think they won't be getting up any time soon, I wish the popular of FoH Ken was going too to hang with us on Saturday...
raney Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I have serious doubts that it will happen (10 week old baby and 2 working parents makes everything doubtful) but I am going to try to meet up with you guys either saturday or sunday during the day. Dinner would be pushing my luck - and I still love my wife Loki - if it works out, maybe we could hook up for a train ride in?

DocRKS Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 » » I'll be there on Sunday at Florio's in Little Italy.....:-) » Does Florio's allow smoking? YES - we have spent many an hour burning many a Habana and quoffing many a dram of adult beverage at this gem of a "family style" resturant and bar in the heart of Little Italy --and directly across the street is Ferrara's Pastry Shop --you'll think you went to heaven !!!!
Jimmy2 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I have eaten there many times when i was younger it has pretty good food .But I think its over rated well this is coming from an Italian who grew up with this food at home.;-)

But Florio's gets GEM status for having the entire package - food, beverages and cigar friendly at all times if you bring your own - or if you wish to purchase from them - they will gladly accomodate any request......:-)
genevapics Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I have gorged myself at Ferrara's. :-D Excellent pasteries and fantastic gelati. That said, it can be a bit touristy. Usually when I am in that part of town I eat at Lunella. I stumbled across it years ago and haven't really tried any other restaurants. Sounds good about Florio's though. I like the fact that you can smoke one after a great meal.
antdavis Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Just wanted to let you know that I have a few extra's for the dinner on Saturday night. There will be me plus three more who have confirmed. Let me know if this is OK.

Jimmy2 Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Hi all just found an article on Havana Dreams I thought some of the people going next week might find it interesting to read. http://www.queenstribune.com/news/1128621771.html
genevapics Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Jimmy2: How many people does Havana Dreams hold? The picture makes the place appear very small. :-|
Jimmy2 Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Its 2 floors hold's about 50 + thats just 1 room on the first floor.Place is very big. Like i said this place is a smoking Lounge not some Yuppy commercialized joint it has real people, great stories and great time's I hope you can all come down and enjoy this great day next week That picture does not do it justice trust me thats an old Pic. Tomorrow a matter a fact they are have a big event La Flor Dominicana will be there. And in the coming month's they will have other big cigar companies coming there with the owners of them. You can all find out next week. But this is about Rob and friend's so let's enjoy this great day that i'am looking foward too. I got to admit i am a little nervous because i took this venture because i want us to have a great time and i hope we all will.As this is my first so called herf i am having ever and setting it up too. Also where we are eating Dinner the owner is a big Cigar smoker and after he found out about this party he is very happy about it.And this place is as good as it gets as restaurants go. I guess the motto for the day will be : real people and real food equal good time's :-D
