Thankyou to Jimmy for helping put this together.

The Intent

To catch up with as many members as possible! To talk and laugh loud, tell lies, have a few beers, more than a few cigars and share a meal.

The Itinerary:

Saturday 18th of February:

2:30 PM "Drinks"

Havana Dreams ~

Cigar Shop • Wine Bar • Smoking Lounge and Cafe

Queens' Largest Walk-In Humidor • Fine Music • Plasma TVs

6310 Woodhaven Boulevard

Rego Park NY 11374-2829

Ref:http://www.havanadreamssmokelounge.com/751474.html

Then we move to "Dinner" just a short walk away

7:30 PM

Joe Abbracciamento Restaurant

62-96 Woodhaven Boulevard

Rego Park, NY 11374

After a leisurely dinner we can decide where to move on (back to Havana Dreams or elsewhere).

Sunday the 19th of February

2:00 pm

For those who would like to catch up again for a light lunch the Aussie connection will be at:

Florio's Grill & Cigar Bar

192 Grand Street (Mulberry St.)

226-7610

Now I am arranging numbers for Saturday afternoon and evening only. Let's leave Sunday as a casual.

As for cost, hell at Havana dreams everyone is in charge of their own drinks and at Joes we split the total bill evenly (food and drinks). This is the Aussie way ;-)

Now Count off. Do not put your name down below until you are a certainty.

I am seriously looking forward to catching up :ok:

On a Saturday? No V train on the weekend. The R will get you to that stop, though, on the same track the V uses weekdays.

Jury's still out on whether I can make it out, but I'll see what I can do.

NY/ NJ members, any advice on places to stay in or very close to Rego Park?

Or would Manhattan be the best bet? (any one ever stay at the City Club

hotel on W. 44th?) Thanks.

My wife and I stayed there last year, thought it was a very nice Hotel!! Small lobby, very friendly employees, rooms were clean. I have a story about the Bidet in the bathroom that is funny as hell:-P

J2, I can't guarantee whether I can make it or not - four hour drive, or I have to fly.

You can take me off the dinner list. If I can make it, I'll meet up for drinks before dinner. Thanks.

10. Genevapics... maybe?:lookaround:

I will be driving up from Delaware and checking into the Waldorf sometime that morning. My plan was/is to meet up with you folks around 3:00 - 3:30. Have some drinks, some cigars and sit back and shoot the sh#t! I am not sure I will be attending dinner. I still need to finalize the weekend for myself and the better half. That said, I will definitely be meeting you good folks for at least a few hours.:-)

Jimmy2... I will let you know by saturday evening as to what my plans will be for dinner. I would love to make it, just not sure yet. One way or another you will have a word from me by saturday evening. At this point in time, count me out regarding dinner.:-( Hopefully that will change.

Bring the wife to dinner... and take the risk that she might run off with one of you blokes to Cuba? :rotfl: [Although, if she were to run off with one of you blokes, it would mean more smokes for moi. How long is the trip to Cuba?:lol3:]

Actually, I hope that she will be able to hook up with one of her female friends that lives in the city. If that materializes, then I would not have a guilty conscience hanging out with you ruffians all evening long, while the two of them shopped til they dropped! Only downside is I might be a little lighter in the wallet due to her shopping habits. Then again, an evening spent with you madmen from down under & NYC and I definitely will be lighter in the wallet!!!:-D

I'll figure something out. One way or another, I will meet you good folks. Just hope the weather holds to you all get here. We have been blessed with some very mild weather so far in 2006.
